My Story

Amanda is a visionary leader and multitalented professional whose work spans therapy, education, speaking, authorship, and creative development. As a highly sought-after therapist, speaker, and educator both nationally and internationally, she is recognized for her ability to integrate faith, mental health, and relational healing in a way that is both clinically grounded and deeply compassionate. She is the founder of Living Waters Counseling and Wellness Center, a space dedicated to psychological, emotional, relational, and spiritual restoration.

At the core of Amanda’s work is a commitment to helping individuals and couples identify and break unhealthy relational patterns so they can experience greater emotional security in their relationships with God, themselves, and others. She specializes in supporting those navigating attachment wounds, rejection and abandonment injuries, and complex relational transitions such as breakups, divorce, infidelity, and relational loss. Amanda believes deeply in the possibility of healing and transformation, shaped in part by her own lived experience of overcoming adversity.

Formally trained in Gottman Method Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Amanda is continually engaged in advanced learning and professional development. Her work is grounded in the understanding that relational health is central to overall well-being, and she helps clients make sense of how past wounds, internal narratives, and emotional injuries shape present-day patterns of connection, communication, and intimacy.

Amanda’s clinical focus includes relational trauma for both individuals and couples—referring to the emotional and psychological impact of harmful, unstable, or unsafe relational experiences that disrupt trust, attachment security, and emotional safety. This includes trauma related to betrayal, infidelity, chronic conflict, emotionally unsafe dynamics, and early attachment disruptions that continue to influence adult relationships. Her work is centered on helping clients move beyond pattern awareness into meaningful, lasting healing and secure relational functioning.

She offers Christian counseling by request for clients who desire to integrate faith into the therapeutic process. Additionally, she provides premarital and pre-engagement counseling for couples seeking to strengthen their foundation, enhance communication, deepen emotional intimacy, and build intentional relational skills before marriage.

Alongside her clinical practice, Amanda is a respected speaker and educator who facilitates corporate wellness workshops, keynote addresses, retreats, trainings, and MSW field supervision. She is passionate about helping organizations, churches, and leadership spaces engage mental health, relationships, and faith through a healed and informed lens that fosters emotional wellness, authenticity, and connection.

Outside of her professional work, Amanda enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, exploring new foods, and engaging in creative experiences. Whether through therapy, speaking, or education, her mission remains consistent: to help people heal deeply, relate more securely, and live more fully aligned and authentic lives.
