Deanna Floyd, lcsw-a
Therapist

As a therapist my purpose is to walk alongside you and provide provisional guidance throughout your healing journey. I became a therapist after witnessing people deal with life stressors and traumatic events on their own due to stigma or unawareness that help was an option. My goal is to help you relieve yourself of burdens that don’t belong to you.
I enjoy working with women, children, teenagers, and couples. The areas I work in include anxiety, depression, perinatal health, sexual health and awareness, LGBTQ+, grief, life transitions, Christian counseling, trauma, and women’s issues. I utilize a holistic/client centered approach that focuses on the whole person while fostering self acceptance and personal growth. My approach is to lead with empathy and understanding. My sessions are a no-judgement zone.
The clinical modalities I utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Humanistic/Client-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients identify patterns, set meaningful goals, and develop healthy coping strategies.
Outside of my clinical work you can catch me at a concert, reading a book, or taking a nap. I have the softest bed on earth that calls my name all the time. I recently discovered the lethal and addictive combo that is a Kindle and the Libby app. Lastly, my love for live music is unmatched.
